November 21 Update and Training Links

Dear All,

As we prepare for the email migration to Microsoft Outlook on December 2, please carefully review the following instructions and reminders to ensure a smooth transition:

1. Begin Using Outlook Online on December 2

What to do: Starting December 2, please use outlook.office.com to access and manage your email.
Can I test now? Yes, you can test it now to familiarize yourself with the platform. However, do not rely on it before December 2 as it will not yet reflect the most recent version of your inbox.
Desktop App Setup: We will assist you with configuring the Outlook desktop application on migration day. Until that is complete, please use outlook.office.com for all email functions.

2. Mobile Device Setup

We will provide support for setting up Outlook on mobile devices after desktop configurations are completed.
Want to get ahead? You can download the Outlook mobile app now, but do not use it for email or calendar functions until December 2.

3. Calendar Sharing and Migration

Resharing Calendars: Calendars shared through Google will need to be reshared in Outlook after the migration. These settings will not automatically transfer.
Other Shared Calendars: If you are using shared calendars (team calendars, room/resource calendars, etc.), these will need to be migrated separately.
- How we can help: We can assist you with exporting your existing calendars from Google and importing them into Outlook. Please reach out to us if you need help with this process.

4. Your Email Address Stays the Same

No changes to your email address. Your emails will continue to come from and appear as firstname.last@inumc.org.
